I Kong is one of the pioneering artistes of Jamaican Roots Reggae music, a genre that peaked to its golden era in the late 1960s and early 1970s. Nephew of the legendary Reggae producer, Leslie Kong (Beverly's Record) who recorded Bob Marley’s first tune, I Kong is the rather mysterious and mystical artist behind the mesmerising reggae classic hit "The Way It Is." He is one of the few, Chinese Jamaican artists who have made significant contributions to the genre, earning him the status of a living legend in his own right. His musical journey is rich, and this film offers a brief yet insightful glimpse into the vast landscape that is Jamaican music.
