Movement Festival 2024: Speaking from Afar
Eaton HK proudly announces the return of its highly anticipated Movement Festival set to captivate the community once again from 23 - 24 November.
Originally launched in 2019, the festival returns to its exhilarating 24-hour format, by creating a non-stop viewing experience with a constant flow of movement activations in public spaces such as the Lobby or Eaton Foodhall. This year’s festival will feature an eclectic selection of over 30 performances by over 50 local and international artist, organizations and community, highlighting everything from contemporary dance and Cantonese theater to ballet and martial arts.
This year’s theme “Speaking From Afar”, inspired by a fable by Jean de La Fontaine, which encapsulates the experience of movement and connects it to the act of speaking. Speaking as a form of movement, through the use or non-use of physical gestures, is the motive behind each of the performances and interweaves the various forms of expression together in the festival.
