This year, Eaton DC serves as the official hotel sponsor for the Kennedy Center’s city-wide celebration for Duke Ellington. We invite guests to experience “The Ellington Room”, decorated with Ellington vinyl, decals describing his incredible and expansive career, the Kennedy Center’s magazine with a full spread dedicated to Ellington for guests to take home, and more.

Throughout the 2023-2024 season, the Kennedy Center commemorates Duke Ellington’s 125th birthday with institution-wide celebrations of the American icon who changed how the world heard music. An outstanding musician, charismatic band leader, and prolific composer, the Washington D.C. native was an innovator across an expansive and eclectic range of styles, from pop and theatrical to swing, fusion and beyond.
